What a bilocale, trilocale or quadrilocale costs in Porta Romana

§ Room count

Milan listings are often described by room count rather than raw surface — a bilocale (one bedroom plus a living room, typically 45–60 m²), a trilocale (two bedrooms, typically 65–90 m²), or a quadrilocale (three bedrooms, typically 95–130 m²).

Type m² €

These surface ranges are stimmo's own presentational convention for common Milan room-count terms, not an official OMI or Agenzia delle Entrate classification.

About Porta Romana

§ Local context

Porta Romana is an axis before it is a neighbourhood: the decumanus of Roman Mediolanum, the road to Rome. The arch that gives it its name was raised in 1596 for the arrival of Margaret of Austria, and the area grew along that line, with a commercial character tied to the ramparts and to an old railway station.

It has the most elastic perceived boundaries of any neighbourhood here, and that is worth knowing before reading the band above. The alias covers two OMI zones around the Rotonda della Besana and via Besana; but Corso di Porta Romana, rising towards the Duomo, already enters the historic-centre zone, and the railway yard under redevelopment — with the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Village and, just beyond, the Fondazione Prada on largo Isarco — falls into different zones again. A listing "in Porta Romana" should be read by its address, not its label.

What to check: proximity to the rail-yard works, service charges, the lift and the energy class. Metro Porta Romana (M3).
