About Baggio
§ Local contextBaggio is documented from 873 and stayed independent of Milan throughout its history. The reason for its modern growth is stated unusually plainly in the sources: because of overcrowding and heavy rents in Milan, workers moved out here, where land and houses were cheap. From about 4,000 residents in 1901 to over 6,100 by 1921. Until 1913 those workers walked the "Baggina", the road into the city.
That logic never reversed, and the data says so. E5 quotes €2,150–3,100/m² for standard-condition civil housing and €1,600–3,500 across all categories — the third-lowest of the 42 quoted zones in Milan, its midpoint sitting just above half the city average.
Watch the perimeter: via delle Forze Armate and via Fratelli Zoia, which many people call Baggio, resolve into D25. Then check the lift, the state of the building, the energy class — and, if the listing mentions it, what the M1 extension actually means for the timeline.
Baggio has no metro or rail station: the nearest terminus is via Bisceglie (M1), in neighbouring Sella Nuova. Enabling works on the 3.3 km, three-station M1 extension to Quartiere degli Olmi began in February 2026, with opening planned for 2032.
